Super Eagles face Lesotho at home to open the season in the 2026 World Cup qualifier. In their first match in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers for 2026, the Super Eagles will host Lesotho. On November 13, the match is scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo. The next week, Jose Peseiro's team would go to Harare for their match against Zimbabwe.
In June 2024, Nigeria will host South Africa's Bafana Bafana before a challenging away match against the neighboring Benin Republic. The qualifying series will then continue. The Eagles' long qualification campaign will then continue with a trip to Rwanda, followed by a home game against Zimbabwe in March 2025. Then, in August 2025, they play Rwanda in a reverse draw before traveling to South Africa the following month. In the last round of qualifying in October 2025, they will play Benin at home and Lesotho on the road.
