PAY UP FALCON'S MATCH BONUS- ARSENAL LEGEND IAN WRIGHT.

The Nigeria Football Federation has come under fire over the continuing salary issue between the Nigerian Women's team and the national football organization, according to Arsenal star Ian Wright. The Nigeria Football Federation's General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, informed the teams earlier this month that the federation has canceled their match bonuses of £15,760 (AUS$30,000) for taking part in the tournament's group rounds. Ian Wright, a veteran of Arsenal, demands that the NFF pay Nigerian women.

The squad even made a strike threat for the opening match of the tournament against Canada, which is also involved in a salary dispute with its own FA over equal pay and support for the men's team. Wright has sent a message of support for the Super Falcons on social media following their remarkable 3-2 victory over the hosts Australia.
