Mauricio Pochettino is adamant that Chelsea will win the Premier League because their project is on track, even if it isn't with him managing the team. By defeating Burnley on Saturday, the team hopes to climb into the top half of the standings, continuing their philosophy of signing young players who require time to develop. They made it to the Carabao Cup final last month, and they are in the FA Cup semifinals. According to Pochettino, their statistics indicate they need to be among the top four teams in the Premier League. The manager is convinced that players like Mykhailo Mudryk will only become better with time, saying that evidence shows Chelsea are headed in the right direction.

"We knew the challenge would be to help — not just one or two (young players) — by maybe ten," Pochettino stated upon arriving. Perhaps you would be speaking with other coaches here today if we hadn't maintained our composure and examined the project in the manner that we do. We fully knew what it meant to steer the club in a different path. It's entirely different now. But we're not there for various reasons.
