REAL REASONS MESSI MOVES TO INTER MIAMI

According to rumors, world champion Lionel Messi, 35, and former Barcelona, Argentina, and Atlanta United head coach Gerardo 'Tata' Martino will meet up in Miami. The Argentine playmaker appears to be planning to sign with his new team no early than July. After Argentina's upcoming international matches, a four-week sabbatical for Messi is reportedly in the works.

Messi 4The World Cup champion has earned it, and it may prevent him from playing in any MLS games until August 16, when Inter Miami travels to play St. Louis City. On Friday, July 21, against Liga MX team Cruz Azul at DRV PNK Stadium, Messi might make his Inter Miami Cup debut. After firing Phil Neville on June 1, Inter Miami is currently without a manager.

There have been many names connected, but Gerardo "Tata" Martino stands out. Atlanta United, a group of South American talent, was converted by Martino into the most thrilling club in MLS. When his fellow countryman Martino led Barcelona in the 2013–14 season and Argentina from 2014 to 2016, Messi played for Martino on two separate occasions. Messi could make up to $125–150 million a year in Miami, claims GOAL. Only his salary will cover this.

Additionally, he is anticipated to get a cut of revenues from Apple TV, the service that streams MLS games. Apple is also developing a four-part documentary series about Argentina's World Cup victory. According to rumors, his contract has a two-year term with a one-year extension option through the summer of 2026. After it is finished, Messi will have the option to invest and find his own MLS team.

The Inter Miami first team features 10 South Americans, including teenager Leonardo Campana and MLS legend Josef Martinez, who has scored 101 goals.
