"President Jonathan, in my opinion, every civilization will be judged in the end by how well it fulfills its obligation of decency to the deceased. This is because man is most vulnerable when he is dying, and dignity is the noblest farewell present that can be given to him."Dr. Ebele, good luck Jonathan, you will always be owed by the people of Igbo. It says volumes about your character that you could bestow upon our symbol and hero this extraordinary honor and care, irrespective of tribe or faith, under a leadership free from historical prejudice.

Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu was indeed fortunate to meet a brother at that crucial juncture between life and death on the other side of the Niger, and you gave the Igbo Nation as a whole the parting gift of dignity during their icon's most vulnerable times. "It was the Roman philosopher Cicero who said, 'Gratitude is not only the greatest of all virtues but the parent of all others.'" Your comforting balm eased people's suffering. Dr. Jonathan, the people of Ndigbo are appreciative. We are very grateful for these priceless acts of kindness toward our cherished hero, both in life and in death. You and your family will always be blessed, history will be on your side, and the nation will be praying for you.
