Natasha Akpoti-Uduagan of the Peoples Democratic Party has been proclaimed the victor of the Kogi Central Senatorial election that took place in February by the Kogi State Election Petitions Tribunal. Additionally, it rendered Senator Abubakar Ohere of the All Progressives Congress illegitimate. Sen. Ohere's results were inflated at nine polling places in the Ajaokuta Local Government Area, according to the unanimous decision of the three-person tribunal's chairman, Justice K. A. Orjiako.
In addition, three more polling units in the same LGA that were intended for Natasha's results were left out by the Independent National Electoral Commission. After making the appropriate adjustments, the court proclaimed Natasha the election's victor with 54,074 votes, defeating Ohere's 51,291 votes.
