Liverpool lost the opportunity to close the gap at the top of the premier league table late on Sunday night in their clash with Man.City who are refusing to believe Arsenal is unassailable at top of the table with a nine point lead.
And they may have to wait another day for an opportunity to close the gap in their bid to earn at least a top four finish.
They have managed to go ahead in a match they were doing all they can to hang on when midfielder Szoboszlai rifled home a direct free kick in the seventy fourth minute of the game but in a hero turn villain mode was sent off later on in the game when he clashed with Haaland at the tail end of the game.
But six minutes before normal time City pulled a goal back through Silva assisted by Haaland and Liverpool goalkeeper gifted City a penalty in the 93rd minute which was converted by Haaland.
It has taken City just seven minutes to turn the game around though Liverpool fans are still in awe of some of the decisions made by the referee.
