Two-State Resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Rejected by Hamas The Head of Hamas's external political bureau Khaled Mishaal has publicly reaffirmed Hamas's position and rejected the two-state solution put out to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Mishaal discussed the goals of the Palestinian people, which include freedom, independence, and the creation of a state that would encompass the entire historical region of Palestine, which runs from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea and from north to south, during his appearance on the popular Ammar Podcast.

Mishaal called the two-state solution "outdated" and chastised Western countries for reviving the debate over it after October 7. He underlined that the 1967 proposed borders are considerably short of the territory claimed by the Palestinians, who would receive just 21% of the land. It is felt that the suggested distribution is insufficient and only accounts for a portion of their legitimate claim. Pressure from Around the World on Israel's Hostilities in Gaza In the meantime, Israel's onslaught against Hamas in Gaza has been urged to stop by international pressure, according to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Despite Hamas's objections, he supported implementing the two-state solution. Compounded by Egypt's worries about the increasing attacks on foreign trade boats in the Red Sea by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in Yemen, China's expanding military might in the unstable Middle East area highlights the intricate geopolitical factors at work. UN Secretary-General António Guterres urged for an urgent humanitarian truce in Gaza and a two-state solution for lasting peace in the face of growing fatalities and an escalating humanitarian catastrophe.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, has disagreed with requests for a ceasefire until all hostages kidnapped by Hamas are released. The Palestinian population in Gaza is struggling with acute food and pharmaceutical shortages throughout the conflict, especially for chronic illnesses like diabetes and cancer.
