The wife of the former Senate President, Dr. Toyin Saraki, the Group Chairman of Heirs Holdings, Tony Elumelu, and a host of others have arrived for the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. The UNGA's subject is "Rebuilding Trust and Reigniting Global Solidarity: Accelerating Action on the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals towards peace, prosperity, progress, and sustainability for all."

Famous Nigerians include music musician Yemi Alade, DJ Florence Otedola (better known as DJ Cuppy), well-known poet and author Ms. Karimot Odebode, and Damilola Ogunbiyi, the special representative of the UN secretary general for Sustainable Energy For All (SEforALL).

The Agreement, the creation of the SDGs, and a panel discussion with UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed were all events that Sanusi attended. Yemi Alade, a Goodwill Ambassador for the UNDP, also gave a performance at the start of the SDG Action Weekend.
