WILL CEASE FIRE LEAD TO PEACE IN UKRAINE

It is getting increasingly difficult to get Russia to come to the negotiating table with Ukraine because Russia knows that the allies are not willing to go to war with Ukraine and hopes that a little more pressure from Russia will force Ukraine to surrender if the scenario continues.

The question now is how long Ukraine can withstand the pressure and endure the hypocrisy of President Trump.

After a telephone conversation between Trump and Putin, we see both leaders playing lip service to the issue of the ceasefire.

Russia had already made it clear that any ceasefire that does not stipulate a minimal relationship with the Western nations is unacceptable, which, of course, is contradictory to the desire and aspirations of the Ukrainians.

Trump is not willing to take any further steps to force Russia into the ceasefire negotiations he so much claimed to be in support of and had even threatened, though subtly, to abandon the ceasefire position if both parties would not play ball.

How on earth he expects Putin to comply with just the level of sanctions imposed on Russia is anybody's guess.

What is becoming obvious by the day is his unwillingness to continue with the ceasefire issue.

Though he had expressed his willingness to end the war.  So, how could the war come to an end without a ceasefire?

The first way is to force Ukraine to surrender. If Trump withdrawal all their support, intelligence, and weapons, Ukraine will have no choice but to surrender.

Also, if Russia withdraws all its troops from Ukraine unconditionally, the war will come to an end. But then can these bring the peace we so much crave?

If Zelenskyy surrenders, the locals will certainly continue with some form of insurrection that will make lasting peace elusive.
