It took the former Sporting Lisbon man thirty five minutes to score a blistering header and put the smoking gunners ahead in their last game before their season's opener against Manchester United.

Odegaard sent the ball across to Saka who cut it back to mercurian midfielder Zubimendi who in turn sent a cross to Gyokorees who headed it to the back of the net.

Within two minutes the gunners were back through Saka with the second goal.

The two-state solution to Lebanon issues in the Middle East has received a boost when Arab and Muslim nations of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, and Turkey jointly denounced the October 7 Hamas attack and called on them to disarm.

This was at a United Nations meeting in New York attended by delegates from 17 countries, including the 22-member Arab League and the European Union.

The step-by-step plan to put an end to the Israeli-Hamas conflict that has gone on for decades is contained in the document.

The United States and Israel are, however, opposed to the plan despite widespread acceptance and insist on the release of hostages held by Hamas and Hamas's withdrawal from Gaza with immediate effect.

The Olubadan-in-Council has selected the Controvicial former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, as the next and 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, on Monday, August 4. 2025.

The announcement was made after formal nominations was made at a meeting in the Olubadan palace at Oke-Aremo in Ibadan.

Ladoja, a Lagos-based businessman, ran for the gubernatorial election of Oyo State in 2003 and won, but fell out with his political mentors who conspired with the then-President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, to remove him from office and install his late deputy. Otunba Christopher Alao Akala.

He was later returned after the court overturned the controversial impeachment, but couldn't serve a second term.

He, however, entered into another controversial altercation with the next governor of Oyo state, Governor Ajimobi over the installation of more kings for Ibadan land.

Ladoja was vehemently against the conversion of the Ibadan high chiefs to kings, and he had to go to court.

The controversy could not be resolved even with the coming in of the next governor, Seyi Makinde, until it was obvious that Ladoja had become the next in line for the Olubadan throne. And his chance of nomination was under threat.

No doubt, the most powerful Olubadan in terms of influence, wealth, age, and political power. Always insisting on a principled lifestyle.

He, however, condescended to be crowned as a small royalty before his impending coronation despite his avowed resentment of the new tradition.

D'Tigress, Nigeria's female basketball team, has become champions again for the fifth consecutive time.

They did this when they beat the Malian female national team at the 2025 FIBA Women's basketball final in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

The D'Tigress, who are unbeaten for a decade in the tournament, also made history as the only team to win five consecutive Afrobasket championships.

And this time around, they have been duly rewarded by the presidency just like their football-playing counterparts.

After defeating the Senegal female team in the semifinals, D'Tigress started the final on a slow footing and were chasing the game for most of the first half, but managed to level at the break and went on to win the second half.

Coach Wakama has now led the d'tigress to two consecutive titles in a row.

They have now all been rewarded with $100,000 cash each, and they also get a reward of a new apartment each, and in addition, they also get the title of OON.
