The Federal Capital Territory's (FCT) Commissioner of Police, Ben Igweh, has emphasized the proactive part that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has played in maintaining security. In a Channels TV interview, Igweh referred to Wike as a security guard. He disclosed that Wike actively engages in patrols and personally supervises people's safety in the Federal Capital Territory.

Igweh also stated that he occasionally runs across Wike while on patrol in places like Bwari, highlighting Wike's dedication to direct observation and interaction. According to Igweh: "Wike is a security guard; you might not be aware that he patrols. We meet paths frequently in Bwari because I am always on patrol and the minister is also constantly on patrol, so he observes things independently. Since he is on patrol, many of us have had to be extra cautious because he is another security guard. Thus, the Minister is also performing admirably, particularly in the matter of solo patrols.
