The All Progressives Congress (APC) Abubakar Ohere filed an appeal, but the court denied it due to its lack of merit. The Kogi State Election Petition Tribunal had earlier ruled that Ohere's victory was void and that Akpoti-Uduagan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had emerged victorious in the February senatorial election. The Court of Appeal panel affirmed this ruling in a ruling on Tuesday. More will come.

When Atiku claims that Nigeria is doomed, Tinubu takes offense.
He recently announced this in a statement issued by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, according to a Daily Post article. He also urged the former vice president to step down from public office. He clarified that the evidence offered by Atiku and Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party's (LP) presidential candidate, was insufficient to overturn the governing party's win. We want to assure Alhaji Atiku that Nigeria is not doomed, he stated.
It is only Atiku’s inordinate ambition to be President that is doomed. Nigeria is moving forward and set to achieve its manifest destiny as one of the most respected and successful nations of the world under the leadership of President Tinubu ". He further said: " In today’s Nigeria, votes count. As declared by the Supreme Court, IReV was not designed as an online collation center. It was simply a public viewing center for results. We want to advise Atiku that after over three decades of bidding for the Presidency of Nigeria, he must now cease his unprofitable bid and go away from any venture that will further pollute the political atmosphere and national harmony ".
