
In the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday, President Bola Tinubu presented the newly appointed Service Chiefs with their new ranks and tasked them with maintaining teamwork to preserve peace and stability in the nation.

Before the event, the Senate had already approved their selections.
Gen. Christopher Musa, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, and Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), are the newly appointed service chiefs.
The President spoke at the event and emphasized the value of continuing collaboration, which he praised for the advancements made in the security sector thus far.
He acknowledged the Armed Forces' enormous contributions to the peace and stability of the country and praised them for their dedication, commitment, and perseverance.
"We have seen that we are recording positive results in our security challenges because of your dedication, commitment, and steadfastness," Tinubu stated.

He gave the new Service Chiefs his word that the government will assist them in their duties.
The President emphasized the importance of characteristics like cooperation, solidarity, and selfless devotion to the country, saying that despite the country's current economic difficulties, a better future lies ahead for Nigeria.
