The troubled fired council officials and the Oyo state government's never-ending troubles could finally come to an end. The situation occurred in the context of Oloye Adebayo Adelabu, the Minister of Power, intervening during his professional visit to the governor's office on Monday.

The former chairman of the fired ALGON members, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye, who was fired by the governor upon taking office, was in the minister's entourage during the visit.
"Today, peace has been brokered between the State government and the sacked members of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), as Governor Seyi Makinde promises to release the fund immediately," a source with access to the meeting told journalists. Chief Adelabu, the Minister of Power, brokered a peace deal by pleading with the state administration and Prince Aleshinloye, the ex-ALGON envoy, to accept it.
During a business visit to state governor Engr. Seyi Makinde earlier today, the minister made the statement at the state secretariat on Monday.
This occurred while the Minister was visiting the state for work and the previous chairman of ALGON was traveling with him.
Earlier in the courtesy visit, the governor made light of the situation by jokingly stating, "I can see Aleshinloye in this office that he did not follow the Minister on the working visit but he only came here to remind me of their money." Aleshinloye was seated in one corner of the Executive Chamber. Everyone laughed at the teasing.
The report claims that Chief Adelabu interfered in the situation at a private meeting between Prince Abass-Aleshinloye and the Governor, during which the Governor pledged to promptly discharge the loan.
