BENNY HINN'S TESTIMONY ABOUT ANGELS OF DEATH

In a sermon via a YouTube video, well-known Israeli televangelist Pastor Benny Hinn recounted a supernatural encounter that happened in the spring of 1974: “One night, I was sleeping when suddenly I woke up. And there, in my bedroom, I saw the angel of death coming at me to choke me.” Pastor Hinn said, “A tall figure stood before me, wearing a black robe with a hood over its face. His fingers were long, with long fingernails.

He was terrified by the sight and cried out, “Dear Jesus, dear Jesus, please help me! Please save me!” Then a miracle occurred, and he testified, “Suddenly, I came out of my body, and an angel came into my room immediately.” He claimed that the angel's presence drove the spirit of death away, saving him from the attack. Pastor Hinn stressed that this experience strengthened his understanding of spiritual warfare and the reality of angelic protection.

He cited the verse, "For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways," found in Psalm 91:11. “You and I are never alone,” he said, urging believers. We have the angels with us. Even if the enemy tries to assault, God's protection is always stronger. His testimonies serve as a reminder of the spiritual realm's invisible conflicts and the certainty that God's angels are constantly keeping watch over His people.

WHY FOOTBALL FANS ARE FIGHTING KEMI BADENOCH?

The proposed new football regulator has drawn criticism from conservative leader Kemi Badenoch, who called it "a waste of money."

Under the previous Conservative government, the Football Governance Bill was first proposed in March 2024 to establish the first independent authority for professional men's football in England. But before Labour won the general election, it was unable to pass Parliament.

Trinity Plaza 123

The bill was reintroduced by the Labour-led government in October 2024, and it is presently being considered in the House of Lords before being debated in the House of Commons. Badenoch, who has previously opposed the idea, stated on the Telegraph's Daily T podcast that he believes a football regulator will be a waste of money. "When I talk to industry folks, they don't think it will work. Why are we doing it, then? As the bill moves through the House of Lords, Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy recently cautioned colleagues that it is "not acceptable to use parliamentary procedures to try to block."

"The Tory U-turn on protecting football clubs from collapse is a complete betrayal of fans and communities up and down the country," Labour's Nandy said on Tuesday in reaction to Badenoch's remarks. We'll help football flourish and return the focus to the game's supporters. The Premier League has voiced concerns, claiming that the regulator will have "unprecedented and untested powers to intervene in the distribution of [its] revenues." Supporter organizations and the English Football League have also praised the law.

A regulator might also have "a negative impact on competitiveness, clubs' investment in world-class talent, and the aspiration that drives our global appeal and growth," according to the Premier League. Premier League leaders are negotiating with the government to convince those in charge of the bill to alter the legislation's structure because they have stated that they wish to prevent "unintended consequences." "The party is looking at how we can improve the bill because we don't have the numbers in the Commons or even in the Lords to stop it," Badenoch stated. "I oppose it."

"Are these things genuinely improving things, even though they ultimately became a cross-party consensus?"Smaller clubs in towns and other places are perceived as benefitting from a football regulator. They are doing it for that reason. "I recognize the issue they are attempting to resolve. A football regulator won't do it, in my opinion, and I've always stated.

So. According to the Football Supporters' Association (FSA), Badenoch's remarks were an "own goal." "She says she has spoken to people in the 'industry' — we like to call it the game — but that doesn't seem to include the EFL, which represents 72 clubs and supports the regulator," the FSA continued. Could Kemi tell everyone who she has spoken to in football specifically? The FSA and our supporter groups, who are the driving forces behind this law that prohibits domestic participation in a European Super League, provide our clubs with further security and allow supporters more influence over the game, have undoubtedly not heard from her.

The dispute reportedly started at the Faculty of Arts when a lecturer named Dr. Chukwudi Michael interrupted a student who was making a TikTok video. This resulted in a furious dispute that swiftly turned physical, with the student allegedly biting the lecturer's arm and wrist. According to witnesses, the student was dancing in the hallway while she was being filmed. "Pardon me," he muttered, tapping her shoulder as the lecturer walked by.

In an apparent angry outburst, the student said, "Can you imagine how he just hit me?" As onlookers tried to step in, the situation worsened and the student began grabbing the lecturer's clothing. Videos of the incident circulating online show the student holding onto the lecturer, who remained passive while raising his hands, seemingly to show he wasn’t fighting back. Photos from the scene also show bite marks on the lecturer’s arms and him undergoing treatment at the school clinic.

In a statement that went viral on social media, Dr. Chukwudi Michael said he heard the student abusing him after he passed him. According to the UNIZK instructor, he instructed her to remove the video in which he was seen and turned around to make sure she was one of his students. He claimed that as a result, the student attacked him. She allegedly slapped him, scraped his face, tore his clothes, and bit him twice.

He maintained that he remained calm throughout the ordeal and later reported the matter to the school’s security office where she allegedly accused him of sexual assault. Michael said, “My theatre arts people, I had just left hall 19, where Dr Ebekue (another lecturer) was teaching. Walking along the passage, I saw a girl doing a video with her phone (she had placed the phone on the window hood and was striking poses in the middle of the walkway).

Tapping her slightly, I asked her to excuse me as I walked past. After about 2 or 3 steps, I heard her say, ‘Who does this man think he is?’ I walked back to ascertain first if she was my student and second to make sure she deleted the video showing where I passed. “I then demanded and reached for her phone, only to be bitten by the girl on both arms in quick succession. I then held on to her left hand so she wouldn’t get away.

“That was when she lost it; she tore my clothes, slapped and scratched my face, and generally went berserk on me—all which I received with calm, to my admiration if I do say so myself. “We are just coming from the security office, where she told them that I was stripping her naked in the faculty. I’m told her mum is a lecturer in engineering, so perhaps that gave her extra impetus.”

In a statement, the university management confirmed they are aware of the situation and have launched an investigation. The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu, has promised a fair and transparent review of the matter in line with the university’s values of discipline and justice. The statement emphasized that the school is committed to upholding moral and ethical standards, assuring that appropriate action will be taken once the investigation is concluded. It partly reads,

“The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, has been made aware of a disturbing incident involving Dr. Chukwudi Okoye, a lecturer in the Department of Theatre Arts and Film Studies, and Goddy Mbakwe Precious, a third-year student in the Department of History and International Studies. “The incident, which has gained significant attention on social media, is being taken very seriously by the university authorities. “In line with our core values of discipline, self-reliance, and excellence, and adherence to the principles of fair hearing, equity, and justice, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu, has ordered a full-scale, transparent, and unbiased investigation into the matter.

“We urge all concerned parties and members of the public to remain calm as we diligently pursue the truth. The university is committed to upholding discipline and decorum, and we will ensure that appropriate actions and sanctions are taken based on the outcome of the investigation. “Nnamdi Azikiwe University remains an institution of learning that upholds high moral and ethical standards. There is no place for indiscipline, misconduct, or any form of unacceptable behavior within our community.” UNIZIK added that further updates will be provided as necessary. The incident has ignited a heated debate on social media, with users split on who to blame. Some criticized the student’s aggressive response, citing issues of discipline and conduct, while others questioned whether the lecturer was right to insist on the video’s deletion

Taiwo Awoniyi, a forward for Nottingham Forest, had a mixed night after scoring a goal but being carried off in stoppage time during their thrilling FA Cup fourth-round match against Exeter City. The Premier League team eventually advanced to the next round through penalties, but Awoniyi's injury overshadowed the festivities on Tuesday night. The Nigerian international had given Forest the lead in the 37th minute of the first half after colliding with Exeter goalkeeper Joe Whitworth in stoppage time after he contested a high ball.

Trinity Plaza 123

Both teams' medics hurried onto the field and treated the stunned striker for ten minutes before being carried away to cheers from the St. James' Park audience. Nuno Espirito Santo, the forest manager, later acknowledged that Awoniyi was in excellent spirits despite having probably fractured his nose. He grins while walking around, but I believe he cracked his nose. He did an amazing job, he did well today,” a post-match report on the club’s website noted.

Following a head contact with an Exeter goalie who was an onlooker, Taiwo Awoniyi received treatment for ten minutes. According to a comforting update from BBC Sport, Awoniyi was spotted returning to Forest's dressing room from the medical center on foot. Despite the injury setback, Forest prevailed in a close match against Exeter, a League One team that tested them to the limit.

Prof Femi Mimiko gave the 60th edition of the monthly lecture of the Nigerian Army resource center Abuja yesterday. The topic of the lecture is Nigeria's quest for a permanent UN Security Council seat and its implications on national security.

ANTHONY JOSHUA TO FIGHT NEXT BOUT IN AFRICA

After being severely knocked out by Daniel Dubois in September, Joshua's heavyweight career is in ruins, and he hasn't finalized any plans for a rematch. Joshua is at a crossroads.

Tyson Fury, AJ's fierce rival, announced his retirement from the sport, therefore it looks like the match is no longer possible. After that, he recently confronted Bakole, who posted a video call-out on social media, threatening a massive confrontation in Africa. Ben Shalom, Bakole's promoter, recently declared that a deal was "done," but it's unclear if Joshua has signed.

Putting the previous two-time champion to the test would be difficult. Bakole is a tough nut.  Bakole intends to include his native Congo in the conflict, but Joshua has always wanted to fight in Africa.

Bakole recently solidified his reputation as a rising competitor by decisively defeating potential talent Jared Anderson. He could get closer to the world title mix in May when he fights Efe Ajagba in an IBF world title eliminator.

A victory over Joshua might be the greatest blow to his career, elevating his already stellar status to previously unheard-of heights.  According to former boxing legend McGuigan, Bakole is a huge talent, the heavyweight division's biggest danger, and a serious problem at 6' 6". He possesses quick hands and a rock-solid chin but isn't a dynamite puncher. "He can take a shot and throw volume." However, it's deflating if you strike someone in the chin and he takes it.

HOUSE DISAGREES WITH PATEL OVER RESCUE MISSION

Kash Patel, the FBI director nominee nominated by President Donald Trump, said that the U.S. SEAL Team Six saved a kidnapped American citizen held captive in northern Nigeria in under sixty seconds.

This was said by Mr. Patel on January 30, 2025, at his confirmation hearing before the US Senate. His involvement in the covert operation to free Philip Walton, the 27-year-old son of American missionaries who had been abducted by armed bandits from neighboring Niger and taken to northern Nigeria for ransom, was the subject of intense questioning. On Thursday, Mr. Patel told the U.S. Congress, "The operation lasted for 60 seconds." He was also questioned about his apparent negligence in repeating a fictitious authorization that the SEAL Team Six had received from the Nigerian authorities to operate in Nigerian airspace.

Having gathered knowledge of the area where Mr. Walton was being held, Mr. Patel was the driving force behind the rescue effort. Since the bandits may relocate Mr. Walton, he saw an opening for the Seal Team Six to attack. Senior U.S. authorities discovered that the Nigerian government had not yet given the Navy SEALs permission to enter their airspace, much less land, while the plane was in midair carrying operatives. In his memoir, former Defense Secretary Mark Esper stated that it was one of Mr. Patel's many mistakes and that he was worried about the SEALs, especially if they would be shot down for the unauthorized operation.

Mr. Esper's memoir, which described the operation, said, "I was worried that being crammed into an aircraft burning holes in the sky for an additional hour or so would wear on the special operators, that it might affect their readiness somehow." According to Mr. Esper, the SEALs suspected Mr. Patel of falsifying the clearance that the Nigerian government granted them. Mr. Esper writes, "My team suspected Patel made up the approval story, but they didn't have all the facts." In his book "Government Gangsters," Mr. Patel denied the accusations, saying that some individuals attempted to thwart the president's plans by putting obstacles in the way of counterterrorism operations in the Middle East and Africa.

After the State Department stepped in and moved quickly to secure airspace approval from the Nigerian authorities before the Navy SEALs landing, the operation ultimately proved successful. It's unclear if Mr. Patel's responses to the questions were satisfactory, and he has encountered a lot of resistance in his pursuit of the FBI directorship.
