TRUMP WINS FINAL BATTLE

Due to his involvement in the incident on January 6, the court rejected a Colorado attempt to exclude Trump from the state's primary ballot.

2024 Washington, DC Donald Trump, a former US president, celebrated it as a win. It was denounced by his detractors as a blow to accountability. However, analysts claim that the most likely conclusion was always for the US Supreme Court to rule in favor of Trump's continued inclusion on the Colorado primary ballot.

They contend that the devil is in the details. Per the US Constitution's 14th Amendment, the Supreme Court on Monday invalidated Colorado's attempts to exclude Trump from participating in the state's Republican presidential primary.

A portion of the legislation known as the "insurrection clause" in that amendment bars candidates from holding public office if they have "engaged in insurrection or rebellion" against the US government. In December 2021, the Colorado Supreme Court declared that Trump had violated the insurrection clause by inciting the disturbance at the US Capitol on January 6. However, the US Supreme Court decided unanimously that the state could not exclude Trump from its primary vote.

Syracuse University political science professor Thomas Keck stated that the Colorado case had long faced an uphill struggle. Keck clarified, "The ruling is not surprising; it was always a long shot." However, he said, the decision by the US Supreme Court raised more significant concerns about the boundaries that shield US democracy. "Three years have passed, and Trump has largely escaped punishment." That is not good news for the nation's democratic institutions, according to Keck.

Mrs. Akeredolu-Aruna swiftly responded to Mrs. Betty Akeredolu's flagrant disdain for her in-law and the people of Ondo State by declaring that she would not support the opponents and adversaries in criticizing the current governor for his political ambitions. "Mummy, the widow of Akeredolu, is fighting and attacking me right now because she has a reason and she doesn't support the governor who is in office."All that was occurring to me was that I was a victim of the situation.

I served as my uncle (Akeredolu's) deputy chief of protocol during the previous government, and the current governor is like family to the Akeredolu family, the woman said. Mrs. Akeredolu-Aruna stated that the late governor viewed the current governor like a brother who could be readily trusted, although the two men were quite close before Aiyedatiwa passed away. "Therefore, I also referred to the current governor as my uncle because I opposed the cabal back when the original controversy arose, that is when Lucky was the deputy governor."They eventually began to claim that I was dating Lucky.

Aiyedatiwa 22

I was shocked to learn that I was seeing him. I didn't trust all that was being stated about him because of what was going on, and you know that kind of white lie that you thought was unimaginable. "As the current governor, I am among the state's assistant conveners of Orimisan Lucky Women, a group that supports Governor Aiyedatiwa's reelection." "Well, yesterday was a program to map out a path ahead, and it was during this program that they took my picture," she said. I believe it's where the late governor's wife obtained the image, and you know she was upset that I wasn't at their camp even though everyone knows.

I was constantly there when all of this shenanigan began, particularly during the state's heated political climate. The family members are aware that I live with Lucky. "I refuse to leave Lucky's camp. I follow the darkness because I am unable to see where there is light. I cannot set up my tent with lies as a Christian, thus everything that is being said about the outgoing governor is completely false. I maintain my integrity, and I do it with great pride," she remarked. Recall that since the late governor became ill, there has been hostility between Mr. Aiyedatiwa and the late governor's wife.

The Federal Government has stated that the elimination of gasoline subsidies has begun to pay off, despite the ensuing economic hardship. It has revealed that over $30 billion in foreign direct investments, or FDI, have been drawn in thus far. Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, stated as much during a conversation with the media in Lagos over the weekend.

"Nigeria has attracted over $30 billion in foreign direct investment in various sectors, especially in manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare, oil and gas, among others, because subsidies were removed," he stated. The returns on these investments are already being felt.

According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the Nigerian economy expanded by 3.46 percent in the third quarter of 2023 compared to 2.4 percent in the same period the previous year. The performance was better than expected. The economy is changing, but it will take some time for everyone to notice any real benefits. Some of these will already be happening, but only to individuals who understand how the financial system operates.

In January this year, the Nigeria stock exchange all share index recorded 100.000 point mark.” While challenging the media to always balance their reportage with the positive things that the government had done in order not to scare potential investors, he noted the various interventions by the Federal Government to cushion the effects of subsidy removal. “

After ten years of combating terrorism, Nigeria may be headed toward peace once more, according to Nigerian Yunusa Jibrin, who lives in the UK. He claims to have used artificial intelligence (AI) to detect bandits and their hideouts in Nigeria.

He said that if the federal government implemented his results, it would assist in focusing military efforts on locating and destroying bandits wherever they may be hiding in the nation. Jibrin, who graduated with a master's degree in computer science from the University of Sussex, said to Vanguard on Sunday that he created hundreds of images of bandits in desert landscapes using AI-driven picture synthesis. He said that his study, which used a Vision Transformer (VT) model to identify terrorist components, produced remarkably accurate early ratings.

"I used a novel strategy, utilizing AI-powered image synthesis to produce thousands of visuals showing bandits in desert landscapes, armed with firearms and vehicles."Using this combined information, I utilized a Vision Transformer model to identify terrorist components in the pictures, and I was able to obtain quite accurate early assessments," he stated.

The Gombe State computer expert, who oversaw a group of researchers from the Federal College of Education (Technical) Potiskum, offered his support and underlined the necessity of a technologically supported struggle against terrorist forces in Nigeria. He went on to say that he will work with the federal government to combat the insecurity that is impeding the nation's progress.

Plans are in place to publish and incorporate the created algorithms within the operational frameworks of the Nigerian government as part of the ongoing efforts to codify these results, he continued.

An ONSA senior official stated that the security adviser's office is leading an interagency probe into Binance's operations, marking the first formal acknowledgment of the crackdown on the company's operations and those of other cryptocurrency platforms. After receiving numerous requests for comment on Thursday, Zakari Mijinyawa, head of Strategic Communication at the Office of the National Security Adviser, said, "I am confirming that the office of the National Security Adviser, as part of ongoing operations in the foreign exchange market with the CBN and other law enforcement and security agencies, is coordinating an interagency investigation into the operations of Binance."

On Wednesday, rumors were circulating that, in an attempt to calm the country's foreign exchange market, the authorities had arrested two executives of the cryptocurrency exchange platform. As part of efforts to engage with the Nigerian authorities amid a crackdown on the cryptocurrency platform, the two executives were reportedly held in Abuja, the federal capital territory, days after they took off.

However, Binance does not operate or have a presence in Nigeria. According to him, users of the site were fixing dollar-naira exchange rates arbitrarily, which had a detrimental effect on the value of the local currency. Additionally, he clarified that the Binance team had already stopped naira-related transactions on the platform and was working with the Nigerian authorities by giving helpful information.

TRUMP SCORES MAJOR VICTORY

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court decided that the criminal trial in Washington, DC, about Trump's effort to rig the 2020 presidential election, had to be postponed for a minimum of two more months. By an order issued in December, the Court essentially postponed his trial for a further two and a half months.

Trinity Plaza 123

Trump has achieved a huge win with this order, which may spare him from prosecution for his efforts to rig the 2020 election completely. Trump wants to postpone his legal proceedings until after the election. If he wins that election, he will then have the authority to direct the Justice Department to dismiss any federal charges brought against him.

Trump took advantage of the federal judiciary's custom of prohibiting two courts from having concurrent jurisdiction over the same matter in order to get an order of this kind from the justices. Therefore, the trial court frequently forfeits its jurisdiction over a matter until the appeal is settled when a party to a lawsuit or criminal process challenges the trial court's ruling.

The trial was put on hold by the court ostensibly because it needed more time to evaluate a weak appeal against a decision made by Judge Tanya Chutkan, the judge overseeing his criminal prosecution in Washington, DC. Trump claims that any prosecution of a former president for any "official acts" he performed while in office is prohibited by the Constitution. This argument has amazing ramifications, which Trump's attorneys haven't exactly done their best to downplay.

In a court proceeding, the attorney for the former president informed the judge that Trump would not face legal consequences even if he had given the order for "SEAL Team 6 to assassinate a political rival," unless the Senate also impeached and found Trump guilty. Considering that two lower courts have previously rejected this argument, it is difficult to see the Supreme Court adopting it.

However, Trump has now used Wednesday's decision to his advantage to push back his trial in the District of Columbia by at least four and a half months. This delay will probably go much longer as the Court will need time to issue an opinion. Oral arguments will be heard by the Court in late April.

In other words, anyone thinking that Trump would go to trial before the November election would be devastated by Wednesday's ruling. Furthermore, this decision casts severe doubt on the Court's ability to monitor Trump-related matters in an unbiased manner, given that the order's stated goal is to allow the justices more time to determine whether or not the president is above the law.

LADY WHO MAKES MONEY BY OPERATING PRIVATE JETS

Tekriwal, born in June 1990 into a traditional Marwari family, went to Jawaharlal Nehru Senior Secondary School in Bhopal and Lawrence School in Lovedale. After completing her studies at Coventry University, she got married to a Hyderabad-based businessman.

Acknowledging difficulties in the private aircraft industry, Tekriwal promised to resolve them. She stressed that while organizing private jet trips, brokers and operators sometimes disregard the demands of their clients in favor of profits. Tekriwal continued, "Customers pay astronomical amounts due to sheer lack of transparency and non-availability of charter planes," as reported by Indiatimes.

Following almost 20 months of industry experience and gap analysis, Tekriwal launched JetSetGo. Currently, the organization provides air taxi services, which let Indian cities connect. Using electric vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft, JetSetGo reduces the total cost of chartered flights by combining innovative methods, SMART management, and technology.

. Tekriwal introduced JetSetGo after over 20 months of gap research and industry expertise. Currently, the company offers air taxi services that facilitate communication between Indian cities. By merging cutting-edge techniques, SMART management, and technology, JetSetGo lowers the overall cost of chartered flights by utilizing electric vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft.

In 2017, Forbes claimed that JetSetGo, an Indian private jet concierge service, had a seven-fold rise in income due to the increasing trend of wealthy Indians renting private planes and helicopters using Tekriwal's platform.

Her firm has successfully transported about 100,000 passengers and completed 6,000 flights, making it a major player in the market. It is also a leader in the aircraft leasing sector in India.

The World Economic Forum's Young Global Leaders and the Indian government's National Entrepreneurship Award for e-commerce went to Tekriwal. Normally a luxury available only to a chosen few, Tekriwal set out to democratize private aviation by making it more widely available, affordable, transparent, and efficient. She quickly thought of and carried out her preparations to realize this idea.

The Rushville Hotel and Suites in Benin's Government Reservation Area (GRA) served as the venue for the announcement. The governor reports that Senator Okpebholo received 12,433 votes, more than his nearest opponent, Dennis Idahosa, a congressman from the Ovia district in the House of Representatives, who received 6,541 votes.

In Benin's Government Reservation Area (GRA), at the Rushville Hotel and Suites, an announcement was made. The Governor reports that Senator Okpebholo received 12,433 votes, more than the 6,541 votes cast for his nearest opponent, House of Representatives lawmaker Dennis Idahosa of the Ovia constituency.

Okpebholo's win is significant since it establishes him as the APC's nominee for governor of Edo State in the next election. This primary election follows a contentious and unresolved one that was supervised by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma last week. Disagreements regarding Dennis Idahosa's hasty proclamation as the winner led the APC National Working Committee to step in and declare the first primary unresolved.

Uzodimma said that Idahosa had accumulated 40,483 votes, the number that party members had disputed as leading in the gubernatorial run. In addition to addressing the divisive problems that plagued the first attempt, the primary rerun demonstrates the APC's dedication to an open and democratic process for choosing its candidates.
