At the Dangote Refinery in Lagos, two Nigerian Army members were taken into custody for stealing and damaging armored wires.

L/CPL Jacob Gani and CPL Innocent Joseph are the names of the accused. Inaugurated on May 22, 2023, the Dangote Group's Dangote Refinery is located in Lagos State's Ibeju-Lekki neighborhood. The value of the investment exceeds $19 billion. The troops were detained last Sunday when it was discovered that they were leaving the site with 897 armored cables that had been cut to size, according to a military signal that SaharaReporters was able to get. The signal said, "On April 14, 2024, at approximately 1420 hours, one Acura jeep with the registration number LAGOS JJJ 594 HS and two military personnel, identified as CPL Innocent Joseph and L/CPL Jacob Gani, who were working with DFL/Refinery, entered the facility."

During the normal search, they were apprehended while leaving the DFL main gate carrying 897 armor cables that had been chopped to the appropriate proportions. "They admitted to using one of the at-large Smarts to get this cable at the refinery throughout the inquiry. The troops have been put into jail while the inquiry is ongoing, and the vehicle and evidence are being held by the OC Army. Please review the suspect and exhibit photos that are attached.
