Erling Haaland and Rodri of Manchester City are the only Premier League nominees in the 2024 FIFA Best Awards' best male player category. The two were honored after City became the first team in English Premier League history to win four consecutive league titles. Jude Bellingham, a midfielder for Real Madrid and England, is one of 11 nominees for the award, primarily given to players from Spain. The only player from outside of Europe to be nominated for the prize is Lionel Messi, the 2023 winner.

 Winner of the Ballon d'Or Although Rodri is a strong candidate for the award, Vinicius Jr. of Real Madrid, who came in second to the Spaniard in the October voting, will compete with him. In an attempt to become the first male English footballer to win the Fifa honor, Bellingham, 21, who placed third in the Ballon d'Or voting, will be competing.
