HChristine Baumgartner and they both want the ongoing divorce dispute to be resolved as soon as feasible. Kevin talked to Access Hollywood outside the Santa Barbara courthouse, making his first public comments on the breakup that started in early May when Christine filed for divorce. Since they appeared in court to resolve child support payments, charges have been leveled at one another.
When asked how he was feeling, Kevin replied, "It's a terrible place to be, it feels so dreadful, We're talking about someone I love on the other side. He instantly answered, "Of course," when asked if he still loved handbag designer Christine before adding that he thought "everyone" was looking for a speedy settlement. Kevin and Christine were wed in 2004. Christine, 49, appeared in court this week to ask for a greater sum of $161,592 than the $129K per month she is said to be receiving for their three children. She first asked for $175,057 in child support each month. In 2004, Kevin and Christine were married and have three kids: daughter Grace, 13, and sons Cayden, 16, and Hayes, 14.ER
Christine allegedly started crying in court on Thursday, August 31, as she described the lifestyle her teenagers were used to and told the judge: "It's so much more than this — it's an experience." She described their time spent together on the volleyball court, in the garden, and beside the infinity pool at the house they had constructed in Santa Barbara, saying, "We've created quite a community." Her attorneys continued on her behalf by stating that living in luxury is "in their DNA at this point".
Christine's team claims that after conducting a forensic examination of his financial records, they discovered that Kevin had "a total of $17,293,117 in cash equivalents as of June 30, 2023, giving him ample funds to pay his support as well as the attorneys' fees and costs for both parties." Kevin accused Christine of using "stalling tactics" to delay their divorce and "gamesmanship of the worst sort" when she allegedly challenged the validity of the prenuptial agreement she signed before their wedding. Christine claims she did not "fully understand" its terms at the time she signed it.
In accordance with the prenuptial agreement between Kevin and Christine, the latter would get $1.5 million in the event of a divorce. But as it also states, "If Christine, in any manner, challenges or assists in the challenge of the validity or enforceability of any provision of this Agreement, she shall lose any rights to receive any payment, Property or Interest from Kevin under this Agreement." Christine stands to lose all rights to any payment from Kevin.
