When the police raid the mines at Araromi town, Ademola and Adeshewa are separated in their dream to consummate their courtship in marriage.
Ademola later became a detective. And he began to seek the hand of Omotooke, a lady he met on the campus as his wife.
Meanwhile, Adeshewa got betrothed to the young dashing King of the town. Unknown to Ademola the man behind the illegal mining he is seeking is also the father of the lady whose hand he's seeking in marriage. And he is also the most influential Chief in the palace of the king who intends to marry his 'lost' love, Adeshewa.
The Erebe festival, during which he intends to `choose' his wife, is also the place where his would-be father-in-law will be arrested for sponsorship of illegal mining. And he implicates the young king who has been enjoying his patronage. And rather than face the music he decided to commit suicide, and in the following confusion, Omotooke died in an accident. Ademola and Adeshewa could not believe that fate is about to bring them together again.
